Buffer tanks and controls are a key part of any Froling biomass boiler installation. The buffer tank stores surplus heat generated during each burn cycle, allowing the boiler to run at its most efficient, steady output rather than constantly switching on and off. Froling’s control systems then manage how that stored heat is distributed around your heating circuits and hot water.

Why This Matters

  • Lets a log boiler complete a full, efficient burn even when heat demand is low, storing the excess for later
  • Reduces the number of start-up and shut-down cycles, cutting wear and extending boiler life
  • Froling’s Lambdatronic controllers manage heating circuits, hot water priority and multiple buffer zones automatically
  • Correctly sized buffer volume is calculated as part of your system design, matched to your boiler’s output and your property’s heat demand

What’s Included

  • Buffer tank(s) sized to suit your boiler and property
  • Froling Lambdatronic control unit and room sensors
  • Pipework, valves and insulation to connect the tank into your heating system
